Quests¶
Lyonspyre's quests teach the realm by doing. The opening chain walks you from the road in to your first dungeon, hands you blessed tools and travel gear, and shows you every panel you'll use for the rest of your time here. After that, the recurring work lives on the Crown Ledger.
How quests work¶
- Tracking. Your tracked quest's objectives sit in the Quest Tracker on your screen.
[questopens your journal. - Guidance. Choose how you're pointed at your objective: a glowing Quest GPS path on the ground, a Classic Arrow at the edge of the screen, or Off. Change it under Profile ▸ QOL Features ▸ Quest Guidance.
- Turn-ins. Return to the quest giver, or watch for the green marker over their head. Some rewards ask you to choose first; the Accept button unlocks once you have.
- Loaner tools from the trade lessons are blessed, so you keep them on death. Wear one out mid-quest and the giver hands you another, but only when you have none left.
The road in¶
| Quest | Giver | What you do | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Report to Elder Mara | Tavi the Roadwarden, on the road into town | Find Elder Mara at her gathering inside Lyonspyre's gates | A blessed runebook marked to town, a blessed Ethereal Horse statuette, a blessed cloak of the zephyr |
| Know Thyself | Elder Mara | A guided tour of your Profile, then choose an Affinity school for all six slots | 250 gold, 5 Wilderness talent points, your chosen school's Weapon track awakened at level 1 |
After Know Thyself, Mara asks what you'd like next: combat, or one of the trade lessons below. It isn't a permanent choice. You can learn every profession, and picking a trade never removes her combat quest.
Combat¶
| Quest | Giver | What you do | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| A Welcome to Lyonspyre | Elder Mara | Seek the old warrior's house at the water's edge south of town and put three giant rats to the sword | Gold, plus your pick of Tactics or Magery |
| Coin from the Deep | Veska the Warden | Head south out of town, then east, to the mine entrance of The Pit. Clear 500 gold worth of creatures inside and come back | 1,000 gold and 20 affinity XP to every assigned slot |
| A Warden's Commission | Veska the Warden | Open Profile ▸ Ledger ▸ Assignments ▸ Warden's Commission and take The Depths Purge: slay 10,000 gold worth of creatures in The Depths | 15 Crown Marks and 60 Standing, paid automatically when the job completes |
Coin from the Deep is a one-time quest. A Warden's Commission is your introduction to the weekly Ledger, which resets every week and is where the realm's recurring work lives from here on.
Trade lessons¶
Each mentor teaches one gathering trade and its crafting partner in two lessons: a first job that runs the whole loop at level 1, then a second that teaches how coloured materials refine. Every lesson raises both trades to at least level 2. Full step-by-step detail is in Your first hour.
| Mentor | Trades | Lessons | Parting gift |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hilda the carpenter | Lumberjacking and Carpentry | A Stool to Rest On, then The Next Cut (a Moorwood bow) | 250 Lumberjacking XP and 7 Moorwood boards |
| Brennen the armourer | Mining and Blacksmithing | Steel for the Pit (an iron tear kite shield), then The Next Rung (a Moorite dagger) | 250 Mining XP and 5 Moorite ingots |
| Ysabet the leatherworker | Skinning and Tailoring | A Cap for the Watch, then The Next Hide (a Moorhide cap) | 250 Skinning XP and 5 Moorhide leather |
| Maren the wharfkeeper | Fishing, boating and cooking | First Catch: catch, fillet and cook your way to Moorfin Soup, and launch your first boat | A Moorwood pole, three spyglasses, and the fish soup you cooked |
After the opening¶
The Ledger takes over once the introduction ends. Every week it posts Assignments from each Commission: hunts, hauls and crafting orders that pay Crown Marks (spend them in the Store) and Standing (which opens Crown Regalia sockets). See the Crown Ledger page for the boards and what they ask.
