Overworld Hunting

Six creature families offer farming fights near the difficulty of The Depths' second floor. Each mixes a straightforward hunter, a heavy melee bruiser, a ground-attack specialist, and a blink attacker. These are hostile creatures, not tameable pets.

Hunting sites are being placed. The creatures and Warden jobs are available, but map guidance will follow once the sites are established. Brinebound fight on dry shores and islands, not underwater.

Read the ground

Every special attack gives a 2.4-second ground warning. The marked area locks when the warning appears. Move out before it disappears.

  • Cone: step behind the attacker or beyond its reach. Used by the bears, guardians, brutes, and hulks.
  • Cross: step into a gap between the narrow diagonal arms. Used by Duneblight Beetles and Shaleborn Trolls.
  • Ring: move into the empty center or outside the outer edge. Used by Rimebound Elementals, Thornbound Spiders, and Ashenwake Elementals.
  • Line: sidestep the wide forward strip. Used by Duneblight Serpents, Shaleborn Elementals, and Brinebound Elementals.
  • Blink: a circle marks a landing spot near the target. The creature stays visible during the warning, then teleports to that spot and strikes the circle. Moving out works; the circle does not follow you. If the landing spot becomes blocked, the attack cancels.

The basic hunters have no ground special. Start with singles before pulling mixed groups. First-pass health ranges from 500 to 783 under the shard's combat rules; melee strength and special-attack cadence are being playtested.

Warden commissions

Open Profile > Ledger > Assignments > Warden's Commission and take the hunt for your chosen family. Defeat 25 creatures from that family to earn 15 Crown Marks and 60 Standing, automatically paid when complete.

Each hunt pays once per account per week. Only kills after taking it count. Shared kills split progress, pets credit their owner, and tamed or summoned victims do not count. You keep the normal loot. See the Crown Ledger.
