Avarice¶
The lust for treasure. Better odds on rare drops, and fatter purses on the corpses you leave behind.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Facet name | an avarice facet |
| Facet colour | gold |
| Max per-slot level | 10 |
| Role | Loot / farming |
Passives - loot & gold¶
| Effect | Per active level |
|---|---|
| Rare-loot chance | +1% |
| Gold-find on corpses | +1% |
Rare-loot chance raises the kill's single rare-drop roll, and it's group-generous: the roll uses the best Avarice bonus among everyone who fought the mob, so one treasure hunter lifts the whole party. Gold-find adds bonus gold to the corpse, scaled off the mob's own base gold.
Set bonuses¶
| Matching slots | Perk | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Windfall | 5% chance for a creature's base gold to be doubled on the corpse. |
| 4 | Treasure Sense | A golden glint and an alert tell you the moment your kill drops rare loot. |
| 6 | Midas Touch | Killing blows have a 4% chance to spill a bonus gold pile and an extra facet onto the corpse. |
A slot counts toward the set when it is assigned to Avarice and has reached level 1. Gear does not need to be equipped. See Set bonuses for the shared rules.
Ultimate - Midas Strike¶
Slot Avarice into your Weapon and your melee hits can trigger the Ultimate.
- Visual - a gold-hued impact burst on the target, plus a coin shower of gold piles scattered across a 3×3 area around it.
- Sound - a gold-drop chime.
- Flourish - none. Midas Strike lands the universal Ultimate damage (
600 + 60·L), the +(15 + 1.5·L)% damage mark, the 2-second hinder, and the coin shower. Bonus gold from kills comes from the 6-piece Midas Touch set perk, not the Ultimate.
