Aria

The bard school. Aria resonance is for characters who actually play the bard skills: it steadies every bard check and pays out damage against creatures caught in your discord.

Per-level passive

Each active Aria level grants:

• 1 easier bard check - a flat difficulty reduction on every Provocation, Peacemaking, and Discordance attempt.
• +1% damage against creatures under Discordance - your own strikes and spells hit discorded targets harder.

At the full 10 active levels that is 10 easier checks and +10% against discorded creatures. The difficulty shave stacks with instrument quality, instrument wood tier, the Sharp Staccato talent, and gems of the ballad.

Ultimate: Shattering Note

Slotted on the Weapon, Aria's per-hit proc is Shattering Note: a note struck so pure it breaks, shattering over the target in a burst of rose-gold sound.

Who wants it

Any build with real bard skills. A discord bard stacks the difficulty shaves until bosses become reliable checks, then collects the discord-damage payout on every swing. Encore Reserve keeps the lute singing longer, and Standing Ovation turns every landed song into a trickle of party healing.
